This is a pawnshop that lends time. Every second you spend here adds to your debt. The debt only melts while you are away — while you are living.

• Five questions at the door. Your answers stay on your device, and the pawnshop will remember them.

• Over a thousand lines that never repeat until you have heard them all.

• Letters from the pawnbroker as the hours pile up.

• Things to do out there, things to pawn in here, and a deal: do not come back for thirty days.

There is no right way to win. Or maybe there is exactly one.

Progress is saved in your browser. Clearing site data erases it — Settings has a save code to carry it to another device.
